Virtual Test Session Information
Dates of Virtual Test Sessions:
BFSC virtual test sessions dates are listed on the BFSC Advanced Ice Schedule.
Registration closes two days before the test session date.
All required videos and documents are due on the test date.
A Permission to Test form will be required to upload in order to complete the registration form for all BFSC Associate Members and Non-Club Members.

Tests Offered
BFSC offers testing through the Gold level for all disciplines (both Standard and Adult tracks):
- Skating Skills
- Singles
- Partner Pattern Ice Dance
- Solo Pattern Ice Dance
- Free Dance
- International Dances also available
Note: One skater per registration form.
Skaters must supply their own dance partner for any partnered dance test unless BFSC has contracted a dance partner for lessons and testing.
If taking a virtual dance test, be sure to label all dances on the Placard and Affidavit (e.g., solo follow, partner lead, etc.).

Registration Information
When completing the registration form, please:
- Select your correct BFSC affiliation: BFSC Member, BFSC Associate Member, or Non-Club Member
- Know your skater’s proper test levels and coach’s email address before registering
- Contact your coach if unsure of test level
- Upload all required forms during registration
Associate and Non-Members must submit:
- USFS Permission to Test Form

Submission Requirements
All test video submissions must include:
- Placard (with name, test, level, and dance role labeled)
- Date/Time Stamp
- Affidavit Form for all testers
- Permission to Test and Name & Likeness Release Forms (required for Non-Club Members)

Once your registration for virtual testing is verified, you will receive:
- A confirmation email from testing@bemidjifigureskatingclub.com
- A Google Drive folder link with upload instructions
📝 Affidavit & Proctor Information
Affidavit Form
Each virtual test submission must include a completed Affidavit Form. The affidavit confirms that the test was performed according to U.S. Figure Skating rules and requirements and must be signed by both the skater and the test proctor.
The Affidavit must accurately reflect what is being performed in the video, including:
- The name of the test being performed
- The date, time and location of the test
- If applicable, the role for each dance (e.g., solo follow, partner lead, etc.)
This ensures that the submitted performance matches the information certified by the proctor and skater.
Who Can Serve as a Test Proctor?
For virtual tests, a proctor must be an impartial authority figure, such as:
- Test Chair
- Rink Manager
- Skating School Director
- Board Member
- Local Skating Official
A proctor cannot be:
- The skater’s coach or choreographer
- A training mate who shares a coach
- A close friend
- A parent or guardian of the skater or their training mates

Dance Partner Opportunities
Periodically, BFSC arranges for a dance partner to offer lessons and partner virtual tests.

Updates on partner opportunities will be announced as they become available.
Schedule & Arrival
- The final schedule will be emailed to participants when available.
- Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson or test time.
Special Requests
If you have a known conflict or specific time need:
- Submit your request on the registration form and email the BFSC Test Chair(s) at testing@bemidjifigureskatingclub.com
- Requests must be received before partner lesson registration closes (at least 2 weeks before your test date).
- Requests received after the schedule is published cannot be guaranteed.
BFSC will do its best to honor requests based on availability and ice time.
Priority System
If the test session becomes full, skater priority will be given as follows:
- BFSC Members – Highest level and earliest registrants
- BFSC Associate Members – Highest level and earliest registrants
- Non-Members – Earliest registrants

- 1–2 Preliminary/Pre-Bronze dances: 10–15 minutes
- 3 Preliminary/Pre-Bronze dances: 15–20 minutes
- 1–2 Bronze–Silver dances: 10–20 minutes
- 3 Bronze–Silver dances: 20–30 minutes
- 1–2 Pre-Gold/Gold dances: 20–30 minutes
- 3+ Pre-Gold/Gold or International dances: 40–60 minutes

💰 Refund Policy (Effective July 2025)
Please review carefully before registering.
- All test and transaction fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Incomplete submissions or non-compliant videos will be returned without refund or credit.
- Contingent tests: If a lower-level test is not passed, no refund will be given for contingent tests registered.
- Refunds may only available if the BFSC-contracted dance partner cancels (for applicable registered partner ice dance tests only).
