❄️ 2026 Fantasy on Ice Show — “Born to Skate”

BFSC's 58th Annual Fantasy on Ice Show!
Get ready to celebrate our skaters’ talent, creativity, and love for the ice in Born to Skate!

This year’s ice show production, Born to Skate, celebrates the power, passion, and possibility within every skater. The show highlights the courage to step onto the ice, the determination to grow, and the confidence that comes from discovering what you’re truly capable of. It’s a tribute to rising potential, personal triumph, and the joy of chasing greatness!

LTS Eligibility & Participation

  • Skaters must be enrolled in the Learn to Skate classes to participate.
  • All participants must agree to the Name & Likeness Waiver.

Show Dates & Location

  • Dress Rehearsal: Friday, March 27, 2026
    ⛔ Closed to the public, schedule to be announced

  • Performances:
    • Saturday, March 28, 2026 @ 6:00 PM
    • Sunday, March 29, 2026 @ 1:00 PM
  • Location: Bemidji Community Arena (BCA)

Information regarding dress rehearsal and day-of-show logistics will be emailed to registered participants.

Important Dates

  • Learn to Skate Early Bird Ice Show Registration Closes: Wednesday, December 31, 2025

  • Learn to Skate Ice Show Registration Closes: Monday, January 12, 2026
    ⛔ Late entries will not be accepted after this date.

  • Group & Program Assignments Announced: by January 19, 2026 (tentative)

  • Costume Pick-up: Monday, January 26, 2026 (tentative)
    Pick up times are 6:00-8:00pm at the Learn to Skate desk. Costumes and instructions will be provided. Some common items may be needed (examples: black shirt, jeans, tan tights). Please ensure it fits properly.

  • Picture Night: Monday, February 9, 2026 (schedule to be announced)

  • Bootcamp (Basic 1–Junior Advanced): Monday, February 9, 2026, 6:00–8:00 PM
    (Exact times per group will be sent after registration closes)

Cost

  • Ice Show Registration & Costume Fee
    • Early Bird: $35 (register by December 31, 2025)
    • Regular: $45 (register after December 31, 2025)

Practices

  • Snowplow Sam Groups: Practices begin in February 2026, no bootcamp.
  • Basic 1 - Junior Advanced Groups: Practices begin Monday, January 26, 2026. Skaters will practice show programs during regular lesson times for a few minutes, then return to regular lessons to continue skill practice.
  • Bootcamp: Required for all Basic 1 – Junior Advanced groups (except Snowplow Sam).
    • Monday, February 9, 2026, 6:00–8:00 PM

  • Practice Locations: Sanford Center, transitioning to Bemidji Community Arena in March

Tentative Picture Night

  • Dates: Monday, February 9, 2026 (Schedule to be announced)

  • Location: Sanford Event Center

Volunteering

The Ice Show could not happen without the help of everyone — thank you in advance for your time!

  • Volunteer Sign-Up: A sign-up form will be sent along with Bootcamp schedules.

  • Example Opportunities: Handing out costumes, assisting at Picture Night, show setup, taking tickets, backstage parent, concessions, etc.

  • Free Admission for Volunteers: All parents who volunteer will receive free admission for the day they volunteer (Saturday, Sunday, or both if volunteering for both days).

  • Watching Your Skater: Volunteers may watch their skater perform only if their station is covered by another adult volunteer at the time of their skater’s performance. Volunteers must return to their post immediately following their skater’s performance.

  • SafeSport Training: Parents and skaters (18+) are encouraged to complete the SafeSport for Volunteers training to learn how to best keep skaters safe. Refund Policy

  • Refunds will be allowed up to Monday, January 12, 2026 (registration close date).

  • After this date, refunds for Ice Show registration costs will only be issued due to injury and must be accompanied by an approved doctor’s note.

  • No refunds will be given for any other reasons, including schedule conflicts, missed practices, or voluntary withdrawal.
